Rock Salt, a nice face by Squid (aka Dave Cohen) a font designer, sculptor, illustrator and musician. He has executed hundreds of prototypes for the toy, ceramics and gift industries. Tiki mugs designed by Squid are highly prized by collectors of Polynesian Pop culture. Squid’s fonts are published exclusively by Sideshow Foundry. You can see his other musings at squidart.com. Rock Salt is a nice, casual script typeface. In some ways it reminds me of the Simpsons TV show font or maybe Bart writing on the chalkboard or something. Also worth noting is that Rock Salt is part of the Google web fonts, and that’s a good thing (click that link and check out the full character set). Download Rock Salt truetype font. Stay salty.
graffitti
ShoeStore
Ya know that funky mall sneaker shop called Journeys? Adam Nerland over at Insanitype took the logo and made it into a pretty nice funky hand-made font with some graffitti “from the streets” appeal. If you are looking for that sort of thing and like the letter o with arrows shooting up down left right, than this font is a great choice.Download the ShoeStore TTF.
VTC Tribal
VTC Tribal is from Kunkletown, Pennsylvania based WolfBainX (Larry Yerkes) of the Vigilante Type Corporation – it is an edgey tattoo face inspired by tribal ink – a good starting point for designing your own tattoos, or creating some interesting logos. Download Tribal TTF.
After-Shok
The ‘dodgy’ After-Shok font was created between 1998 and 2000 by Canadian Eightface – Dave Kellam and/or Brian Stuparyk using a collection of software including Paint, Photoshop, Streamline, Illustrator and Fontographer. If you are looking for grunge, dark, hard to read, rough, etc. this is what you need – After-Shok TTF.
